Flash Floods in Bangladesh

with 2 comments

The flash floods are back in Bangladesh. The rain again came earlier than expected in this season and approximately 15-25 thousand Hectares of Boro crops are under water. I discussed about this flood and the losses due to it in my post related to Tipaimukh Dam. It’s worth reading once more. To share with the readers, here are a few links to the damage done by Flash floods this season –

Rising waters inundate boro crops in Sunamganj
Flash flood in 4 districts
Boro on 3,000 acres goes under flood water in Moulvibazar

It’s worth retaking a look at Tipaimukh option and complete a new survey on boons and banes of the same.
